Natural resources and the spread of HIV/AIDS: Curse or blessing?

This paper by Olivier Sterck is now published online in Social Science and Medicine:

This paper studies the relationship between natural resources and the spread of HIV

The resource curse on HIV measured by de Soysa and Gizelis (2013) is spurious.

This paper takes into account problems of stationarity and long-run dynamics

There is no evidence that natural resource rents affected the spread of HIV and TB

Fiscal space for HIV could be created thanks to natural resource rents.
